Sources is your library of files and information for Aleria to work with. Use it for reference material you want to find again or add to a project.
Add and organize files
- Open Sources.
- Upload the files you want to keep.
- Wait for upload and preparation to finish.
- Rename items clearly and organize related files in folders.
Use names that identify the subject and version, such as “Supplier policy — September 2026.” When moving items, check the destination folder; moving a file and sharing it are different operations.
Use a Source
Select a Source from chat or add it to a project's Sources area. Tell Aleria what to do with the material: answer a question, compare sections, extract data, or create a report. Simply keeping a file in the library does not specify how it should be used.
Maintain the library
Keep current reference material easy to distinguish from old versions. Check which projects use an item before deleting it. Removing a file from Sources is different from removing its link from a project, so read the action and confirmation carefully.
If a file is still processing or cannot be read, check the upload result and retry with a readable copy. See using sources in conversations and file troubleshooting.
