Personalize how Aleria works with you

Updated September 14, 2026

Tell Aleria about your role, preferred output style, and recurring responsibilities so it can adapt the work to your needs. Start with practical preferences rather than a long biography.

Describe your preferences

Try: “I lead operations. Use concise summaries, spell out unfamiliar abbreviations, and separate decisions from open questions. Ask before assuming a deadline.”

You can refine this in conversation when the response is too detailed, uses the wrong tone, or misses the intended audience. A preference stated in one conversation is useful context there; do not assume every future conversation inherits it without using a reusable configuration.

Put reusable guidance in the right place

  • Use project instructions for goals and conventions shared by work in a project.
  • Use agent instructions for the behavior of a particular assistant.
  • Use a skill for a repeatable procedure, rubric, or output pattern.

Keep reference documents in Sources rather than copying long documents into instructions. This makes it easier to update the material and ask for evidence from the original.

Check that the guidance works

Try a representative request and inspect the result. Adjust instructions that conflict or leave room for different interpretations. Changing guidance does not rewrite previously generated documents.
