Attach a file when you want Aleria to analyze its contents, transform it, or use it as a reference. Ask for a downloadable document when you need a result you can keep or share outside the conversation.
Work with an attachment
- Use the attachment control, or drag a file into chat where supported.
- Wait for the upload to finish before sending the request.
- Explain what Aleria should do with it and which parts matter.
- Review the answer and any references to the original file.
For a spreadsheet, identify the relevant sheet, date range, and measure. For a long document, name the sections you want compared. A successful upload does not guarantee that every page, embedded image, or scanned passage can be read accurately; ask Aleria to identify anything it could not interpret.
Ask for a finished file
Specify the format and purpose: “Create a Word report with an executive summary,” or “Return an Excel workbook with the cleaned data and calculation formulas.” Open the resulting file before distributing it and check formatting, totals, and missing information.
Reuse files
Keep recurring reference material in Sources. Add it to a project when several conversations need the same information. Attaching a file to one conversation does not by itself make it available to every colleague.
