Continue building and update an app

Updated September 14, 2026

Continue building an existing app when you want to change its behavior or appearance. Start from that app's controls so the work targets the existing application.

Make a change

  1. Open Apps and find an app you own or can manage.
  2. Choose Continue building where available.
  3. Describe the change and the behavior that must still work.
  4. Review the build conversation and open the updated app.
  5. Test the changed flow and a familiar existing flow.

For example: “Add an optional incident category. Keep existing records visible and preserve the current severity filter.”

Understand versions

Published updates create app versions. Use Version history to inspect published versions and, where available, make an earlier one live again.

Changing the live app version is not the same as restoring its database. If the data structure has changed, an earlier interface may no longer work with the current data. Pay attention to schema warnings and confirm compatibility before switching versions.

Report a problem precisely

Give Aleria the screen, action, expected result, and actual result. Include a sample record that reproduces the issue without exposing information unnecessarily. After a fix, repeat the same steps to verify it.
