Set schedules and run automations manually

Updated September 14, 2026

Use a schedule when work should recur at a predictable time. Use Manual when you want a saved procedure that starts only when you request it.

Configure a schedule

  1. Open the automation's setup or editing form.
  2. Choose Schedule under Run when.
  3. Choose Manual, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Custom from the available frequencies.
  4. Enter the requested interval, days, and time.
  5. Check the displayed timezone and save.

Daily runs use a chosen time. Weekly runs use a chosen day and time. Custom lets you select several days. For hourly schedules, review both the interval and the minute past the hour.

Check the next run

Return to the automation and inspect its next-run information. A Manual automation is not scheduled to start by itself. An automation that is paused must be enabled before you expect scheduled work to resume.

If the expected time is wrong, compare the displayed timezone with the time you intended before changing the instructions.

Run now

Use Run now when it is available to start an immediate run. Review existing run history first if the work can create records or send messages; a second run may repeat those actions.

For Outlook and webhook automations, test the relevant event as well, because a manual run alone does not verify the external trigger.
